Scheduled from April 8th to 11th, this event will delve into the methods, techniques, and research approaches related to Hybrid Intelligence Foundations, including presenting the doctoral consortium’s preliminary deliverables and thesis proposals.
The HYBRIDS Project opens the registration for the Second Joint Research Seminar (JRS II). This event aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of Hybrid Intelligence Foundations. It emphasizes machine learning, deep learning methods, symbolic knowledge formalization strategies, and hybrid systems integration. These approaches are designed to enhance the quality and interpretability of language models to provide researchers with the knowledge and tools they need to tackle misinformation.
The training activities of the JRS II, scheduled from April 8th to 11th, promise a diverse and enriching experience for participants. Among the presentations of the partners, José Ramom Pichel Campos, from Imaxin, will delve into the “Core Foundations and Professional Applications of Hybrid approaches for Natural Language Processing (NLP)”, offering valuable insights into the intersection of machine learning and linguistic analysis. Patricia Martín Rodilla, from the Universidade da Coruña, will lead the “Discourse Analysis Foundations” session, providing attendees with a deeper understanding of language structures and communication patterns.
In another session, Gaël Dias, from UNICAEN, will explore the realm of “Advanced machine learning algorithms tailored for social and humanistic research”. At the same time, UEVORA’s professor Paulo Quaresma will discuss Large Language Models. Renata Vieira’s guest, Cassia Trojahn from the University of Toulouse will guide participants through the “Foundations on Ontology Building from Texts”, unraveling the intricacies of constructing meaningful knowledge structures from textual data.
These training sessions are poised to empower attendees with the knowledge and skills necessary to navigate the complexities of Hybrid Intelligence Foundations.
Transversal Skills
The program will also emphasize essential skills such as Data Management, covering Data Management Plans, Data Sharing, Data Repositories, Open Data, and Fair Data Management Policies.
The seminar kicks off on April 8th with a welcome session, followed by presentations and discussions on the preliminary deliverables of the doctoral consortium. Subsequent days include working group discussions and presentations on various topics.
Part of the event, starting from April 9th at 14:30 (CET), will be open to the public with online participation.
